(Loori, 2008) Dharma encounter. Zen. Koans. Dokushan. 5 ways. Teisho, Mondo. Dark to the mind, radiant to the heart. Shift our "way of hearing." Leggo reference system. Whole body training. Monastic wanderers of history. Realize directly. LIVING words. PARTICIPATE. Put the self on the line.
The Way in which one meets and interacts with Teacher is decisive in terms of possible outcomes. Teacher may bring Dharma in various ways and means... which for thousands of years has also been coined, "The Dharma Encounter." It is ...not...what we have thought. Thank you.
"Shikantaza" After the body and mind fall away.
At first, sitting can be draining and/or difficult to maintain focus with, but eventually, becomes energizing. ZAZEN.
Attention to The Hara Line. Observing the mind and the emotional flow from a thought. This allows a person to use emotion rather than be used by it.
That attachment and aversion continue into the places we "thought" would be "past" them. For example, once we obtain "Emptiness," we must also let it go! LOL. Thank you.
Dharma Combat in "The Cave of Tigers" reveals that Spirit (Sacred Energy) is not secular and secular is not Spirit ... but Meadowbrook (2020, In Press) adds that Life on Earth is about merging them. It is "The Magnum Opus" ...The Great Work of each to integrate Spirit, Soul, and Body.
What is Dharma?
What is Righteousness?
What is Combat?
What is Nature?
Thank you.
